North Carolina Summer Road Trip

Carolina Road TripTake me back to that lovely time when we called North Carolina home for a week. When we slept in a cluster of hammocks tucked into the woods and we chased waterfalls and climbed mountains. When we became river people and lived in tents and out of backpacks. Where we wandered and danced our way around a festival for two days and met strange new people (Bob, I’m looking at you).

Where the breeze carried that sweet, earthy smell of wildflowers and adventure. Where we felt everything so much more and cried as we listened to the Moonshine Babies play their last song our first evening at the Duckpond. Where we met Library Mary and Mossin’ Annie, who told us where we could get real hog-washers and who called us flower children.

Take me back to those lovely mountain days where it was summer during the day and fall at night.
